My philosophy of doing business in 2024
It’s not easy to earn a living as an employee. Although if you listen to the gurus, that phrase is a false belief and makes you fail. Well, we’ll see. Luckily, I still have time to prove that you can still be successful.
When you do business, you must have a certain philosophy to do things that serve as a reminder. There are always temptations that will knock on your door. These are the mental notes that serve as a guide for me to make the best decisions.

Add value
The first thing you should do with products and services is add value. Making money is good, but if there’s nothing behind it, it doesn’t last. It doesn’t give you a positive feeling either. You’re not useful. I’ve had that feeling in client projects where, despite receiving positive feedback, I perceived that my value was not up to what I was charging. It’s not a nice feeling. On the other hand, when we launch new products on Amazon and you read the positive reviews, it makes you feel good. People find what we do useful. There are also negative comments, of course, but we take advantage of them to continue improving.
Enjoying the journey
I hope this never ends. I don’t have a specific goal. You have to enjoy the journey and take advantage of the views that come your way. On trips without a specific goal, there can always be surprises. You do have to have goals and metrics to guide you, such as how much profit you need to live the life you want. But they are rather stopover destinations where you are not going to stay stuck forever.
Working with nice people
This applies both, and above all, to the internal level, but also to the external level. I have cut ties with clients because they were starting to be toxic and it didn’t make me feel good. Money isn’t everything. It’s a means, but not an end. I have the luxury of being able to choose. The difference is made by people. If you choose badly, you will end up badly.
Step by step
Nothing, absolutely nothing, is built from one day to the next. With our first own brand we had the first sale at the end of December 2021. In February we almost repeated the result of January. The only reason we didn’t achieve it was a stockout. This doesn’t mean we have to go slow but always at the pace we can assume in the long term. Especially when you are young you see successful people and you desperately look for express routes to get to where they are. They don’t exist, stop looking.
Getting to all this alone will be fine but I prefer to do it with more people. Sharing the sensations of reaching goals is better. At least for me. Let’s see what 2024 brings. It will be fun, no doubt.
