The recent process to find a new name for our non-agency
Time and time again I experience the same thing. Finding a new name for a project is usually the hardest part. We’ve had three meetings now and for the first time I think we’re close to having it.

The traditional way no longer works
One thing I’ve been clear about for a while is that the traditional way doesn’t work for me:
A name that’s easy to spell.
A name that represents the essence of the business.
Domain available on all
These are ideals that are very difficult to achieve today when it comes to finding a name. I’m aware that years ago (10 years ago) I wrote about the subject recommending exactly those points, but what can I say? Times change.
The initial creative process
There have been four of us each time. Everyone has contributed their ideas. Each one has explained their name and what it means. We have been crossing out those that didn’t fit anyone. At the beginning there were no rules. Everything was possible.
Refining the search
In parallel we have been working on content for the new non-agency. In this way we have already had a more precise idea of what we are looking for and the values it represents. Above all the use of symbols has helped us. We are looking for something that represents so much growth but at the same time was based on strong roots.
What we have achieved so far
We are at a point where we are close to having a name. Now it is time to take a stand. We have said that we are going to let 48 hours pass to see if we still like it, since honestly not everyone on the team is yet convinced.
The name has a good sound but it is not obvious when it comes to spelling it.
Depending on how you spell it, the .com is available or not. My preferred form is no longer available so it will possibly be the second best option to have the main domain.
The name represents and tells a story. It is the story we want to tell.
I think I will be able to give you more details soon. I hope we already have it.
